Is Fish Oil Harmful For Lungs?

My friend is in the hospital with double bypass and mucus in his lungs. He indicated he talks fish oil. His cardiologist says fish oil is very harmful and they had to clean out his lungs. He got the fish oil from a Health Food Store and the Cartoogist says that is the worst since it is the strongest. Have you heard of this before.
