Is Fever Related To The Head Injury In Child?

Hi, my son hit his backhead on the bath tub and has a nose bleed only on one nose. Then 2 days later he has a very high temperature until 39.9! I gave him nuerufen and calpol alternate, every other 2 hours, it seems that his fever is going down only to 37.7, and up again! I was able to go to emergency and was advise that the fever and hitting his head has different reasons! But he has no colds or cuts anywhere!im a bit worry about this! Do i have to go back to emergency and ask for refferal to have his brain sacn?

Hi...your son's injury was at the back of the head but his bleeding was form the nose. This suggests that injury had a concussion component. One more issue is that high fever may be due to internal bleed too. i suggest you take him to emergency room immediately and get him evaluated.
