Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just received my prescription of Ciprofloxacin HCL 250mg tabs (20 tabs) to be taken twice a day. I am 84 yrs. old and live in a small farm which I mow often in sunshine. Am I in trouble with such activity. I also workout at the YMCA 4x a week. Do I have to stop all such activities?
Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic and is advised if you have bacterial infections or to avoid infection if there is a probability.
There is no problem in doing any physical activity when you are on antibiotics, however, other medical conditions and the infection for which you are taking this medicine will depend on the restriction of physical activity.
So while taking Ciprofloxacin there is no restriction in doing physical activity.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora,
Dentist
