Is Excessive Vaginal Discharge A Sign Of Pregnancy?

Im have not been having sex, but have been in sexual contact. We were very careful not to touch each other afterwards that might have caused any sort of odd carrying of semen. My period was supposed to come a week ago, and I've felt no symptoms of any sort of pregnancy, I've only experienced excessive discharge. What is wrong?

Hi there,
I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1 ) First of all do not panic.
Merely excessive vaginal discharge can'tbe considered as sign of pregnancy. But as you have crossed your dates by one week I will suggest you the following.

2 ) As you might be aware that in a woman with regular cycles day 10 to 20 of the cycle is the most fertile period of cycle.
If you have unprotected sex act, during this period and there is spillage of semen inside and or around vaginal opening them there is chance of getting pregnant.

In your case, chances of getting pregnant are very minimal.

3 ) But still I will suggest you to get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. In case of doubt, blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.

4 ) If your pregnancy test is negative, then you can simply wait for the onset of periods or induce the periods with Tab Regestrone 5 mg twice a day for 5 days. Usually periods start within 3 to 10 days of finishing the tablets.

5 ) please get a proper sex counselling done. Use of barrier method like Condom is advisable, this will help to prevent unwanted pregnancy and STD.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
