Is Estradiol Level Of 43.4 Pg/mL A Cause For Concern?

I am a 73-year-old male and have taken 3x25 mg/day of 7-keto DHEA for 2 years. Recently my Endocrinologist (Whom I consult about my Hypothyroidism) tested me and we discovered I have an Estradiol of 43.4 pg/mL, a Sex Hormone Binding Globulin of 121.5 nmol/L and a Total Testosterone of 561 ng/dL. Do you think I could get closer to normal by going off 7-keto DHEA? If so, how long do you think the 7-keto DHEA would take to clear my system? By the way, my Endocrinologist has suggested that perhaps I would be helped by taking Danazol.

hello sir,
i don't think taking 7 keto dhea will help in your raise of testosterone levels as dhea gets converted to testosterone and its is done by 2 enzymes. Danazol on the other hand is androgen agonist that will directly increase your testosterone levels. so its better to start with Danazol. 7 keto DHEA has a half life of 2.17 hours so it never gets accumulated so you dont need to think about its clearance. your sex hormone binding globulin is on a higher side suggesting that testosterone levels are low and there the globulin is free.
thank you
