Is Dry Mouth A Sign Of Oral Cancer?

I have sores in mouth that make mouth really dry and all a bit tender. Inside of cheeks/back of throat. Worse after eating. I have pictures at its worst. I feel like it's early signs of oral cancer but could also be mouth ulcers. Please help. I have seen doctors who says nothing wrong but symptoms getting more intense

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it looks like dry mouth is the cause for sores inside mouth as dry mouth causes thinning of the mucosa that makes it more prone to get ulcerated, inflamed and painful..

It is not a sign of oral cancer and Dry mouth can be due to causes like Severe dehydration, side effects of medications if you take any, salivary gland dysfunction, nerve damage supplying salivary glands, oral infections like thrush,Sjogren's Syndrome..etc..

-For dry mouth chew sugarfree chewing gums..
-Drink plenty of water.
-Avoid regular mouthwash and use specialized mouthwash that are formulated for dry mouth patients like Biotene..
-You can also instil artificial saliva drops..
-Suck tart candies as it also stimulates saliva flow..
- For sores if they are painful apply numbing gel containing Lignocaine or Choline Salicylate..

If does not improve consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
