Is Drug Resistance TB A Possibility?

hello sir, i am 25 years old, 5ft 3inches high, 40 kgs wt. i have been diagnosed to be suffering from TB last month. it is just at the initial stage. I have been started with isoniazid, rifampicin, pyrazinamide and ethambutol. But I started vomiting after 1 month treatment. My SGPT is 64 IU/L. My doc has stopped the medicine and started with only ethambutol now. So, do I have a chance to develop drug resistance? Can I consume fatty substances? Please suggest.

Thanks for you question on HCM. In my opinion your doctor is not treating you properly according to guidlines. Consult pulmonologist for this. And 64 sgpt is not high enough to stop the treatment. The vomiting may be due to AKT induced gastritis which is quite common. So take good antacid like pantoprazole or rabeprazole with antiemetic domperidone. You may get relief in vomiting by this. And to give only one drug in TB is next to crime. So dont take single ethambutol. And yes you are right this can increase chances of drug resistant. So consult good pulmonologist for this.
