Whether drinking is a problem or not is decided by the following: strong desire to drink that is uncontrollable in spite of other important issues or family members restriction; not being able to control the amount of drink in one sitting once it is started; indulging in drinking neglecting alternative sources of relaxation.

Invariably people whose drinking has started with less amount and gradually increases in amount and frequency is an important guide to determine whether it is going in a wrong direction

If you have family history of such drinking problems, then you need to consider not to indulge in drinking
