Is drinking of alcohol good or bad for health ?

My husband is 32 yrs of age. He drinks 4-5 days per week.He usually takes 5-6 pegs along with smoking. After drinking he feels ver sleepy and he stammers. This drinking habit is good or bad for his health?

This habbit of drinking alcohol and smoking is double risky. First of alcohol affecting liver functions and secondly smoking hampers lungs function and aggravates atherosclerosis and cardiac problems.
Make him to quit smoking and alcohol.

Dear Momita,thanks for choosing healthcaremagic.See everything in excess is bad for any body.Alcohol in moderation is acceptable,though there some cultural issues attached to it.But yes it injuries to health ,there is no doubt about it.And smoking too is injurious to health.If he is having problems after having it please see your doctor and get his liver function test done.You can take help your family physician for the same and if needed he will suggest some ways to tackle this problem.
