Is Drinking Alcohol While On Volix Safe?

Sir iam a sugar patient sugar level is 180(FBS)240(PPBS).my medicine is volix m.0.2mg(3 times before food)and glimy 3mg(every night after food),my problem is sgot level is 86(my medicine is udimarin forte every morning).alcohol use sometimes. Alcohol usetimes in medicine eating for any problems?Please answer for my doubt...

cannot say in your particular case without being in direct contact, and more info. For example, if you are on insulin or a type 1 (seems very unlikely given your meds) then alcohol is not a good idea. Then, if there are liver problems (and the elevated liver enzymes would imply it) then alcohol is not a good idea. In general reasonable amounts of alcohol (1 drink a day or less) are not a big problem in general in diabetes but can change the sugar level up or down in some.
