Is Double Vision A Sign Of A Stroke?

I want to know if I had a stroke.. All of a sudden I got double vision and on my left I saw a black and white checkerboard . It lasted about a minute. I m in good health . No high blood pressure, not diabetic a good heart. I just WELLNESS EXAM, my doctor said I was boring because he couldn t find anything wrong. I m not on any RXs I m 74 this month. I walk 2 miles a day and are very active.

This us not usual sign of stroke but I may be sign of so called TIA or some other neurological disorders such as miastenia or multiple sclerosis.Also,some eye problem such as optic neuritis may be considered.
