Is Dizziness During Vacation Worrisome?

For 1 week, I feel slightly dizzy all the time. I do take BP medication, but otherwise in good health. I am 82 years old, happily married and feel positive about life. I have an artificial left hip, and am experiencing some weakness in the left side of my body. I fear falling to the left. I do use a walking stick for support. I am worried about the dizziness! We are on vacation in Colorado, far away from my usual doctor, and we plan to spend the 3 summer months here. What should I do? There is a small medical clinic in the small town nearby.....Creede, Colorado. I will appreciate your opinion.

I suggest that you go and be seen at the medical clinic just to be safe. It is possible that this could just be due to elevation if you are at a much higher elevation than you are used to but it is best to be checked. In the meantime drink plenty of fluids, avoid caffeine and alcohol and get plenty of rest. Be very careful not to fall. I hope you feel better soon.
