Is Dizziness And Nausea Due To Previous Car Accident?

I had a car accident three years ago in which i hit my head on the steering wheel at a high speed and i needed 12 stitches.. i did for awhile have dizzy spells and nausea but that stopped after a few months or so but now im having the same symptoms and my question is can this be from my car wreck three years ago?

Thank you for your question on HCM! I understand your concern.

It is normal to feel dizziness after a head concussion. It may last for months and even years after the concussion. I think that if the head trauma has caused an inner ear problem it can repeat for years.

I recommend you to consult with the ENT specialist. A benign paroxysmal vertigo could be caused by a head trauma and can be the cause of recurrent vertigo.

Other possibilities (not related to the head concussion) to take into consideration would be other inner ear problems or cervical column arthrosis.
