Is Delay In Periods Normal After Withdrawal From Active Pills?

Hi Dr. I was on microgestion for about 3 months. Two months into cycle I started getting spotting 3 to 4 days before active pills were done. So I decided to stop pill. I started spotting Dec. 16th thinking that I would get my period I stopped pills (I was still on active pills had 5 active pills left) I didn t not get a withdrawal bleed and my period is due and I have not gotten it either or feel any symptoms. I am sexually active with my husband and was all last month. Is this delay normal? I m normally very regular!

Hello ma'am and welcome.

As you are usually regular, the cause could be the pills or a hormonal imbalance that has resulted from the use of the pills.

Please visit your prescribing doctor for the same, who will look into finding the cause and decide if a change in prescription is required or not.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
