Is Dark Green Stool Post Recovery From Stomach Flu Normal?

Hello, Two days ago I had what I believe is stomach flu. I had diahrea (like a water faucet) all day long, stomach cramps, etc. No real fever or anything. Yesterday I felt better, but my stomach still cramped up a couple of times, no bowel movement. Today, my first bowel movement is dark black/greenish. Is this normal after suffering from a stomach flu?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is quite common after a bout of gastroenteritis or stomach flu. Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
