Is cunningham clamp useful in managing urinary incontinence?

The Cunningham Clamp interests me because of incontinence from c prostate surgery in 1993. it appears to be a viable solution to my condition which only worsens. I m 83. What do you think of this device. What are the downsides? Frequent UTI? Severe? Don G.

General & Family Physician 's  Response

Cunningham clamp is not recommended nowadays. It can cause many problems like UTI (urinary tract infection). You can opt for other options like drugs. Consult a urologist and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
