Is Cracked Lips, Red Sores And Swelling On Tongue Be Due To Smoking Meth?

i recently smoked meth for 3 days straight. After i stopped and went to sleep when i woke up my lips were cracked and the back and the sides of my tongue had red sores and is so swollen i can barley talk or eat. the inside of my mouth is painful and wrinkly like. ive been gargling with warm salt water and brushing my teeth and i havent done it in yrs so my only guess its from smoking but how do i get rid of it?

Hi,

Yes, the cracked lips, red sores and lip swelling are all due to meth. This occurs due to skin's reaction to the chemicals produced when the body breaks down meth in order to excrete it. Mouth is affected more as it gets heavy exposure during smoking, but there may be sores on other parts of the body as well. It will take a few days for the lesions to heal. Till then, maintain hygiene, avoid smoking and take B complex vitamin supplements.

Best wishes.
