Hi,

Epilex chrono contains both sodium valproate and valproic acid is an anti-convulsant medication that is used to treat bipolar disorder and all types of epilepsies, a brain disorder characterized by uncontrolled jerking movements and loss of consciousness. Side effects of Epilex chrono are nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, dizziness, body pain, constipation, hair loss, drowsiness, weight gain, tremor, headache, sleepiness, allergic reactions etc. Don't stop taking it, in case of side effects or even if you feel better unless your doctor advises you to. You may have more seizures or your bipolar disorder may get worse.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Zubayer Alam, General And Family Physician
