Is Colonoscopy And Endoscopy Recommended For Severe Pain In Lower Abdomen?

Hello. I have been having severe pain in my lower abdomen for 3 weeks now. My Gastro doctor said because I had an colonoscopy and endoscopy in March of this year, that there is no need for another one. I do not understand this because in March I did not have this pain and now I do. Is he making the right decision? What is your opinion on this? Is the lower abdomen dealing more with the pelvic area?
