Is colonoscopy advisable for anal discharge?

I have been experiencing an anal discharge, similar to semen. It s a clear, warm discharge that feels like a build up of gas, but all of sudden it releases. Thank goodness for depends. A colonoscopy is scheduled for 1/31/17. Blood and stool test show nothing. I m a healthy, active 73 year old.

Hi,

Rule out amoebiosis and whip warm infestation for this problem. Colonoscopy is not required. Externally anal region can be checked for any other infection. Smear of anal discharge can be taken for microscopy examination related cause of seaman like discharge can be explored.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
