Is Clotting With Vaginal Discharges A Sign Of Pregnancy?

hi, im 19 years old, sexually active. my period was late for a month and when i got it it was very dark and lasted for about a week, usually it lasts for 3-4 days. after the period i started having light pink vaginal discharge and now it turned light brown and has blood clots. it has been going on for a week now. Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. This sort of bleeding is definitely not normal and needs further evaluation. Firstly, since you are sexually active, please exclude/confirm pregnancy through an assessment of the serum beta-hCG titres. This should be followed by a trans-vaginal sonogram to know the status of the pelvic organs. If negative for pregnancy, hormone imbalance is the likely cause. Styptics should be used to control the bleeding, hormones may also be needed to arrest it. Few courses of hormone supplements after complete assessment, along with a healthy diet, regular exercise and weight management help to solve the issue. Hope this helps.
