Is Cipro Advised In Case Of Bladder Infection?

I was told I have a bladder infection Wednesday. I was given a prescription of cipro. I have taken 4 pills. I am still urinating frequently. My pain is around my left ovary area. I sleep on my stomach but last night I tried to turn over and my lower back hurt really bad. I have no insurance, so I had to pay cash at the urgent care. I am ashamed to show up at the er but I also don t want to get any worse. I am a woman, 62 yrs. old. I am trying to drink as much water and cranberry juice as I can. I am just afraid its too late. Do you have any advice?? Thank You!!

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have bladder infection. You should take a course of antibiotics. Ciprofloxacin can be used but if it doesn't respond then higher antibiotics like levofloxacin or cephalosporin should be used.
Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
