Is Chronic Inflammation On The Heel A Matter Of Concern?

Hi. I had a cortisone shot this morning in my heel for inflammation from plantar fascia and spur issues. I was supposed to fly to Seattle this evening for business tomorrow but dr asked I cancel as inflammation is bad and he s concerned about flight and pressure. For today and tomorrow supposed to off my foot as much as possible, icing it, etc. should I be worried?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Plantar fasciitis can cause severe pain and discomfort. It can take weeks to months to resolve in some persons.

The rest and icing of the foot should help along with the use of anti inflammatory pain killers such as naproxen or ibuprofen.

I hope this helps
