Is Cholecystectomy Advisable Based On The Following Abdominal Ultrasound Report?

I have had an abdominal ultrasound which indicated gallstone formation in a somewhat contracted gallbladder. The wall is mildly thickened. There was tenderness noted when the gallbladder examination was carried out. Since the ultrasound I had what was thought to be an other gallbladder attack. I then had a HIDA scan with CCK with indicated I had normal infraction. The two tests seem to contradict each other. I have gallstones with associated pain but the Hida Scan indicates a normally functioning gallbladder. I have met with a surgeon, prior to the HIDA scan results were available. The surgeon suggested a cholecystectomy based on the ultra sound results. I would like your opinion of having a cholecystectomy performed.
