Is Chickenpox Transmission Possible Through Skin Contact?

Hello It s 10th day since we spotted the blisters. And being diagnosed of chickenpox by doctor. The lesions have dried up and scabbed. The falling off remains. Me and my husband had intercourse today. While he had a condom on, I am still scared if he will be infected with chickenpox. The doctor said he might catch it and also gave him a prophylactic Aciclovir for 5 days. He hasn t developed any visible marks yet. Please advise.

hello
chicken pox transmission occurs 7- 10 days after onset of rash. you have mentioned that already 10 days have passed since your rash onset. in such case it very unlikely for your bf to get chicken pox provided he has not acquired it due to prior contact.
plus your doctor have already started you on prophylaxis so there is no need to worry.
hope this has helped. wish you good health
