General & Family Physician Dr. Mohammed Tauseef's  Response
Hi Goldy, Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum.
You reports suggest Gestational Diabetes. Kindly consult your Gynecologist as you will require proper care. Since you are pregnant, your Doctor may ask you to check your blood sugar four to five times a day, first thing in the morning and after meals, to make sure your level stays within a healthy range. This may sound inconvenient and difficult, but it will get easier with practice. Eating the right kinds and quantity of food is one of the best ways to control your blood sugar. Eat healthy nutritious balanced diet which should include fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables. Avoid stress and maintain a healthy weight. Go for regular brisk walks for 30 to 40 Minutes daily. An important part of your treatment plan will be close observation of your baby. Your doctor may monitor your baby's growth and development with repeated ultrasounds or other tests.

Wish you Good Health, Take Care.
