Is Blood Sugar Level Of 128 Fasting And 139 PP Normal?

I am 63 years old Diabetes patient. My Blood Glucosgmail.come levels are currently 128 ( Fasting) and 139(PP). My Blood Urea is 69, Creatinine 2.04 and K+ 5.4. For last one month I have been consuming Almonds, Walnuts and Peanuts. I want to know whether my Kidney Test levels are o.k.,if not, whether intake of too much nuts, particularly Peanuts, is the cause. Your advice please.

HI
Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.

Your Kidney tests are showing mildly elevated levels suggestive of Kidney damage . I don't think it is due to consuming excess nuts .

In my opinion your kidney damage is due to your Diabetes. You have not mentioned about your HBA1c levels . This test will give us an idea of your last 3 months average sugar levels. Kindly let me know that . If not done get it done and revert back with reports.

A much tighter control of your blood sugars ( especially your fasting blood sugars ) will reduce the damage to your kidneys. Ask your doctor to increase your diabetic medication dosage.

Also get your Blood pressure checked and keep it under control.

Also get a test called Urine Microalbumin and if it is elevated ask your doctor to start you on ACE Inhibitor drugs . This will prevent further damage to your kidneys.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask .
