Is Blood Pressure Value Of 150-95 Post Sleeve Gastrectomy Normal?

I am post op gastric sleeve and my bp is running 150-95 usually, my cardiologist put me on bystolic 10 mg and my pulse was 60 resting laying down and so I got scared that it was too low and today I took half and its ranging between 63 and 70. I have lost apt 55 lbs since Aug 24th and worry that my heart rate may drop to dangerous levels...should I continue the medication and is a 60 resting heart beat okay? no chest pain or shortness of breath

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

60 bpm is still within the normal range, although it lies on the lower limit of normal. I would request you to revisit your doctor so he/she can evaluate your blood pressure and pulse to make sure if you really need the medication or a lower dosage or no medication at all.

Best wishes.
