This reading seems to be starting higher in this age. Have a low salt diet, regular aerobic exercises, relaxation exercises, low fat high protein diet. Dont get afraid of Hypertension. This will soon come down.

Yes its a bit high. Could be due to stres/anxiety. Get it checked for 3 consecutive days, and around same time (morning preferably) and by same machine. If its high each time, see a physician .

hello and welcome to healthcare magic.
this BP reading for your age is on the higher side but you cannot be labelled hypertensive for just one bp reading it is better you get your bp checked regularly and see if it is raised. At this point it is better you try to control it with exercise, diet control low salt and oily foods, and meditation.
It could be just because of some stress also.
take care.

The ideal BP for your age is 120/80;sometimes if you exert or do some work it increases slightly. The reading of 153/100 is definitely high for you.Presently you get BP checked morning & evening if it is possible or at least once a day;if it is continuously high for more than 2 days then consult a doctor you need to get investigated for cholesterol;triglycerides. You may need to control your diet & if required then he may start you on medicine.
take care
