Is Blockage In Right Fallopian Tube Due To Bursting Of Appendix A Concern?
Hi, I ve recently discovered that my right fallopian tube is blocked mostly likely due to burst appendix when I was 4 years old (1985) after an ultrasound. I m scheduled to have a laparoscopy and dye test to confirm next week. My consultant advised that fluid may leek back into the uterus from the dye test if the tube truly is blocked and severely damage my uterus long-term reducing my chances of ever getting pregnant. All the information that I have read only seems to mention that the fluid could reduce the chances of successful implantation and/or cause miscarriage. Is it true that the fluid in the tube could potentially damage my uterus forever whether I m pregnant or not or trying to conceive or not? I m considering fertility massage to help unblock the tubes but I m terrified that this could cause long-term damage as a result. Thanks in advance
Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic. If the other fallopian tube is fine then this should not lead to infertility, but it may be more difficult to get pregnant. If you 'll have such difficulties,it would be good to have surgical procedure called adhesiolysis to reopen tube again. I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
