Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm 26/f and have a stabbing pain on the left side of my back under my rib cage. It hurts more when I bend over or twist my back. It is not tender to the touch and I have no other symptoms besides being bloated for the last 2 days...I have not done any abnormal physical activity in the last few days. What could it be?
1. Back muscle spasm or 2. Renal stone 3. Left pleural effusion 4. Herpeszoster et cetera
Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your doctor, he/she will examine and advice scan and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
