Is Bladder Spasms Common After Post Removal Of Stone Which Is Stuck To Ureter?
My 20 year old son has multiple stones in both kidneys..had one stuck in ureter for over 6 wks. Had uteroscopy and they couldn' t find it. Had stent for 1 week. Now he is 2 wks post removal and is experiencing significant bladder spasms (frequency and Urgency), especially at night. Should this still be occurring after 2 wks? Thanks!
I have gone through your query. After Ureteroscopy patients may have symptoms of pain during urination, urgency or blood in urine. These usually subsides within 1-2 days. Your son has symptoms even after 2 weeks of the procedure. There might be some infection or injury inside bladder. This is not normal and you should consult your treating doctor for further investigations and medicines. Ask your son to drink plenty of water.
