Betnovate contains a potent topical steroid betamethasone valerate and it should never be used on face for pimples or pimple marks/hyperpigmentation as it can itself cause acne (steroid induced acne). I would rather suggest that you visit a dermatologist for your skin problem. Your dermatologist might choose to prescribe a skin lightening cream containing one or more of the skin lightening agents like kojic acid, Azaleic acid, hydroquinone, glycolic acid etc You can also opt to undergo a few peeling sessions from your treating dermatologist (glycolic peel Or kojic acid peel Or retinol peel). Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen (gel based), throughout the day. An Oral Vit C supplement, once daily, would help to hasten the resolution of hyperpigmentation. Regards
