Is Benign Lump In The Breast The Symptom Of Breast Cancer?

Hi, When I was 25 I found a lump in my rat breast, it was benign, I have since had a mammogram yearly, I am now 43. I have noticed a change in my right breast. It s about 11 o clock near maybe 2 inches from my armpit. My recent ultrasound was negative. 7 yrs ago I was called back for a second mammogram due to high density of my breast, further testing then showed nothing. I am concerned, my family history of breast cancer is extensive, from my grandmother and 2 of my 4 aunts and 3 other females 1st cousins all diagnosed before age 40, I m not sure what do do, I ve been insistent with my doctor, but the test show nothing, but I know it s something going on even if it isn t cancer. Any advice?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
As you are regularly go for mammogram and there is nothing abnormal so nothing to worry.
This can be Fibroadenoma of breast which is benign in nature.
But as this is since long and having family h/o cancer it is advisable to remove the lump and go for biopsy to rule out any cancerous lesion.
Ok and take care.
