Is Being Prescribed Thyroid Pills Something Serious?

my dad is 91 he was just prescribed with thyroid pills. My mother just died on 19th of may, a sister in Dec, & a brother who we lost last June, so lots of stress. I am very worried about him, he does a heart pill & vit, & gout meds. so my question is this the beginnings of something serious for a man of his age

Hi Dear
Taking thyroid pills is absolutely normal for patients of hypothyroidism, you just take care that the prescribing physician is properly qualified and your dad takes the pill in correct dose.
