Is Bad Headache, Fatigue And Sudden Nosebleed Normal?

Hey, so I have been having bad headaches for a long time now, and this morning I woke up so tired it was unreal. Well today I was serving a customer, and suddenly out of no where I have a nosebleed, is that normal? I'm also still tired, and have a booming headache.

Thanks z

Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. Occurrence of nose bleed without direct injury should be evaluated properly. If it was associated with headache, weakness, it may be due to

: Sinusitis - Infection of air sinuses can cause nasal blockade, heaviness in head, post nasal discharge, sometimes bleed from nose.

Treatment includes steam inhalation 4-5 times daily
Antibiotic therapy like Co-amoxyclav therapy after proper prescription
Combination of Cetrizine-Xylometazoline-Paracetamol after proper prescription
Nasal saline drops 4 - 5 times daily.

: Nasal mass - Most commonly nasal polyp can cause nasal blockade with headache and nasal bleed. It needs evaluation by ENT specialist. He will examine your nose with rhinoscope and endoscope.

Treatment includes management of underlying cause and surgical resection of it.

: In few humans, nasal bleed occurs more frequently than others. It occurs more commonly in summer season, after strenuous activity, sudden rise in BP. Usual history is frequent episodes of nasal bleed with or without headache with no other complaint.

Diagnosis is confirmed after ruling out other cause and examination inside nose. Treatment includes pouring of cold water over head, pressure over area below nose opening and above upper lip, avoiding outdoor strenuous activities in warm weather.

: Hypertension - It can present as nasal bleed and headache in back of head.
It can be confirmed by measuring BP and monitoring BP daily for a week. You have to consult physician for it.

Treatment includes salt restricted diet, avoid fatty food, daily morning walk, antihypertensive medication, avoiding mental stress.

Hope it will help you. Take care

Thanks.
