Is Back Pain A Detox Symptom Of Quitting Smoking?

I just quit smoking a week ago, and am currently using the patch for a step down process. Insomina, headaches, moodiness, and cravings were expected. Yet, today my lower back hurts so badly I can barely walk. Is this a detox symptom? Using ice packs and Alieve and Vitamin C, and it still hurts beyond anything I have ever felt in terms of back pain...I will quit the cigarettes regardless, but would like an expert's opinion on this, as the pain rates at a 8 numerically on a 1-10 scale.

hello,
warm welcome to healthcaremagic.com

tobacco which is the main ingredient of cigarette, contains nicotine which causes dependence.
while quitting smoking, people develop withdrawal symptoms- irritability, difficulty to concentrate, headaches, mood swings, aggression, lethargy, constipation. however developing bodily aches especially back ache is not a hallmark symptom of tobacco withdrawal.
try some analgesics, bed rest, improve your sleeping posture, try not to lift any heavy object with sudden jerk.
even after this if you find no relief in your back pain, i would advice you to consult your orthopedician, get your scans for back pain done.
