Is Augmentin 625 Tablet Safe To Take For UTI During Pregnancy ?

Hi doctor , i am 7 weeks pregnant , i am diagnosed of having urinary tract infection and was prescribed Augmentin 625, is it safe to use this during early pregnancy, please advice.

Hi

Ideally antibiotics should be restricted during pregnancy.However,augmentin in minimal doses for very short period of treatment is ok.Long term use isnt recommended.
