Is Atrophy Of Pancreas A Serious Cause For Concern?

A non-contrast ct scan indicating interstitial lung disease also showed mildly atrophic pancreas. I am a 77 year old female non-smoker who took amiodorone for 5 years, and sotolol previously. How will the atrophy affect me? The scan followed pneumonia and mild heart failure diagnosis shortly after an ablation to treat atrial fibrillation. Wt. about 149. ht about 5'3'

Hi.
Thanks for your query.

Atrophy of the pancreas at your age is of no concern if you have normal blood sugar levels and the digestion is proper and normal.

Get your heart and lung consitions treated well.
Lung CT needs a contrast study to know the accurate diagnosis.
Get a contrast enhanced CT scan done.
