Is Asymmetrical Brain & Uneven Lateral Ventricle For A Premature Baby A Serious Concern?
My nephew was born 31 weeks 1 day is doing well and is now 36 weeks adjusted... But the doctors are still concerned about the scans of his brain being asymmetrical the right lateral ventricle being bigger then rest... Is due to prematurity and will fix itself or is this going to cause delays or behavioural issues in the future?
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. I agree with your concern regarding the neuroimaging findings. But future of such things usually implies neurocognitive and developmental issues. These things are best judged as the baby starts to develop. I suggest you send me the neuroimaging slildes over the website and I will try to help after seeing them. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health. Dr. Sumanth MBBS., DCH., DNB (Paed).,
