Is Artic Ruby Oil Good For Health While Treating Cholesterol?

I want to know if Artic Ruby Oil is good or bad for you even when there is no illness. I like to live healthy; cholesterol runs in my family - it s under control - I take Astrovastatin 20mg. If at all possible, if I can find a natural solution that gives the same results along with maintaining beautiful skin and hair and maintaining younger skin, I m all for it. Please respond!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Definitely, Artic ruby oil (Calanus oil) has its good effects on low density cholesterol, high density cholesterol and triglyceride. However, extensive publications on these effects are still not present. Therefore, if you want to try for it, then you may add it but reducing the dose of Atorvastatin gradually in a tapering off manner till completely weaning off Atorvastatin.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
