Pityriasis lichenoides variants describe scaly dermatoses with necrotic popules that are clinically and histologically different from Parapsoriasis.
These disease generally are benign and undergo spontaneous resolution but, at times , may have a protected course.
Parapsoriasis refers to 2 disease processes that are caused by T-Cell- pre-dominant infiltrates in the skin. These disease processes are large plaque parapsoriasis and small plaque parapsoriasis.
Ayurveda believe that impurities in the blood associated with emotional factors are the cause of the disease.
The disease also caused by Vitation of VATA and KAPHA DOSHA. The vitated doshas affect the skin and blood tissues. They also influence water element of the affected region on skin. Thus the skin which is influenced by affected doshes becomes discolored [ white or copper] scaly and thin.
AYURVEDA suggests PANCHAKARMA for the treatment of parapsoriasis. This because detoxification of the body is very essentional for the treatment of this.
Include more fruits , vegetables in your diet.
Avoid animal fats, eggs.
Use separate, clean cloths and towel for your use.
Applying Aloe vera cream thinly to irritated skin and rubbing lightly.

Ayurveda Specialist Dr. Munish Sood's  Response

1. Parapsoriasis: i.e only resemblance is there but not etiology.
2. The disease is also called as 'guttate psoriasis'.
3. because it is caused by hypersensitive reaction to EBV (Epstein Barr Virus), Adenovirus, Immune System has a role to play in the pathology.
4. You haven't mentioned the region(s) where this disease has occurred or spreading, neither any mentioning of symptoms is there??
5. PSORIASIS is precipitated by stress/disturbed immune system, so medicine which act on the Nervous and Immune system are co prescribed.
6. For COMPLETE treatment, consult with an Ayurveda Physician who will look into your constitution (Prakriti) and will decide the further line of treatment.
7. As such there is/are no specialist, you have to Consult with a Dermatologist for that.
