Is An Overdose Of Susten Injection Harmful?

Is an overodse of Susten injection harmful? My wife is recommended Susten and Ovidec injections, one each every week. She had Susten injection on Monday and went to take Ovidec today. However, the doctor accidentally administered both Ovidec and Susten today. Is it something of concern?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM!
There is no need to worry as just one extra dose of Susten is unlikely to cause any harm. Very high doses of Susten may cause certain side effects. However, In case she notices any symptoms like Headache, breast pain, abdominal pain, burning micturition, dizziness, then she must immediately report to her doctor.
Hope this solves your query. Feel free to ask if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr. Sridhar Reddy
