Is An Irregular And Delayed Menstrual Cycle A Sign Of Pregnancy?

Hello, I have few questions. I probably should go see a doctor but no insurance yet. So, I was on the nexaplon. It went out in about august. I have had regular periods since then, but it was irregular before then. So, December I didn t get my period. I thought I might be pregnant & I still question it. I have had mood swings, random cravings that don t last long, some food smells very rarely make me feel sick, I am having really low cramps, almost like period cramps, but less painful & lower. Those stopped. Headaches, and a little bit of insomnia even though I am extremely exhausted. Well, after 7 weeks of no period, and random various symptoms, last night I started spotting. It was very light pink, only about a quarter size in my underwear, and when I wiped. So I thought I d be starting, even though I never spot. Today, it is still only when I wipe but it s a tad more and has turned to a very dark red. I m just really nervous. I ve had about 6 negative pregnancy tests. I just need some professional advice. I can t really afford a doctors bill until my husband gets me on his medical insurance.

Hi.

The spotting and delayed period could also be due to various other factors that can influence a menstrual cycle resulting in its delay. So I would not round it up and strongly suspect pregnancy, but it has to be ruled out using a serum hCG test. At this point, tour elaborate history and a number of testing (e.g. thyroid profile, female hormonal panel, USG of lower abdomen and pelvis, etc) are all required to find the cause and accordingly address it.

Best wishes.
