General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If you gave pill just after bursting condom then it highly effective in pregnancy. It has high efficacy around 95-98% in preventing pregnancy. No need to take anything. Chance of pregnancy is less as you did sex in safe period of cycle. But it cause hormonal imbalance as it contain high progesterone. It can cause earlier period, delay in period by 1-2 week, excessive bleeding can occur. Do not get upset if period will delay 2 weeks. If period will delay by more than 2 weeks then consult gynecologist. Meanwhile avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
