Is Aloe Vera Likely To Cure Fungal Infection And Itchy Soles?

I have very itchy soles of my feet (arch area) there are no marks or abrasions. My feet are hot to touch and burning. I thought it maybe fungal, but cream doesn't help, neither does aloe Vera. I thought I might be allergic yo burnt toast! What do you think?

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

I would advice that you get a KOH scraping to confirm whether it is a fungal infection. Aloe vera has no beneficial effect on fungal infection.

If confirmed to be a fungal infection I would advice that you get a prescription for an oral antifungal e.g Fluconazole. Topical antifungals like clotrimazole, sertaconazole, luliconazole can be applied twice daily for 4-6 weeks.

An OTC antihistamine would help in symptomatic control of itching.

take care
