Is Allegra Effective For Infections?

doctor few days ago i am suffering from viral ....i consulted with the doctor and he has given me some medicines but due to reaction of that medicine my lips and my pennis get rashed...........and they are really painful......i am not able to eat or go to toilet .....i again consulted to that same doctor nad now he has given me allegra.....? i just want to ask is this medicine is safe..i in how many days i will be fine....

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain there is a possibility that you were advised to take antibiotics and it has led to allergic reaction leading to rashes on lips and genitals..
You are given Allegra that contains active ingredient Fexofenadine and it is a potent antihistamine or anti allergic medication..
It will help in reducing rashes and pain..
The medicine is safe and you can continue taking it for atleast 5 days for resolution of symptoms..
You can also do cool compresses to relieve inflammation and pain..
You can also take Tylenol or Ibuprofen for pain relief and reducing Inflammation in t only after consulting your doctor as you have not indicated the name of medicine that caused allergy..
In case if after 5 days also you do not find relief consult an Allergist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be advised accordingly..
