Is Alcohol Safe To Consume Post Tonsillectomy?

Hi I'm 24, have a tonsillectomy in 4 days (Dec. 28) and was wondering if it'd be alright if I drank a few beers tonight for a Christmas Eve party without having any bad side effects..I'm 5 8, 160 pounds, otherwise healthy guy. Have had 3 prior surgeries (adnoids taken out, pick-line removed, and nodules on my vocal cords removed)
