Is Abortion Required If Fetal Defect Is Seen On Pregnancy Scan?
hello doctor hope u will give me answer i very confused doctor.
I have pregnency and baby is 3.6 months. last weak i sonography to doctor they told there is some problem in leg. one leg is sort. so u have must abortion.
otherwise baby will come out of my body she/or he wil damage in leg . what i can i do now ? is right for me to aborsion or not ? please tell me. thank u

Understand your concern
Yes you can abort the baby as there is defect in leg according to USG report.
Better to take abortion as delivery of baby with defect cause complication in future for baby and it also affects mental health of baby and your.
As your pregnancy is between 12-20 weeks, there are two methods of abortion:
1) Medical abortion by misoprostol: 200-400 ug should be used vaginally every 3-4 hourly to induce abortion. Abortion induction interval is around 12-15 hours.
2) surgical abortion : by suction evacuation. Bleding is less and more successful than medial procedure.
Post abortion USG can be done after 14 days to check for retain products.
So gp for abortion by consulting gynecologist and fetal medicine specialist.
