Is Ablation Necessary For High Heart Rate And PSVT?

so I've been diagnosed with PSVT, I just had another attack on dec 3rd and my heart rate goes from normal to 230 and it takes adenosine injection to slow it down. Is it serious enough to have an ablation done? I have had a consult for one. I have normal blood pressure but high cholesterol that is controled with medicine, I am 51, do not smoke or drink

Hello,
There are two options, one is medicine and other is ablation. Medicine, you need to continue lifelong and sometimes may get episodes even on medicine. While ablation if successful results in permanent cure in most of the patients.
Its a minor procedure and risk associated is minor. So it's advisable to undergo ablation procedure.
Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.
